Safer Internet Day 2023

Liz Chadwick 1 min read

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people, and to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

Runner Up Scarlett A and Bronagh W 7-6

Safer Internet Day this year was on 7 February. To raise awareness of this, a competition was held in school to encourage our students to create something to encourage young people to talk about online safety – a poster, a leaflet, a video, an animation, a script for a play…

Our 6th form e-mentors had the unenviable task of choosing a winner and runner-up.

Winner – Olivia N and Amelia J 7-6

Joint winners were Amelia J and Olivia N and runners-up were Bronagh W and Scarlett A. All were from tutor group 7.6. Well done and a big thank you to everyone who entered the competition.
