TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!
Respecting other players and working well with your teammates is essential if you are going to develop and improve as a player. Not only does it help to improve your gameplay but it will also make you stand out as a valuable player whom others will respect and enjoy playing with. Working well with your teammates can also have a huge impact on how your team performs.
IMPROVE YOUR PROBLEM SOLVING
Traditionally video games help to develop problem solving and strategy development skills by getting the player solve increasingly complicated problems. In many cases there is a time pressure which develops speed and decision-making skills.
Players are confronted with complex problems for which they must formulate solutions and take appropriate action. Often, a number of different alternatives are presented to players, forcing them to make quick choices. This process sharpens vital critical thinking skills.
TIME MANAGEMENT? DONE!
Improve your time management skills by organising tournaments amongst your peers, playing a certain game or game mode within a dedicated time frame.
Learning how different strategies will improve your game and win rate, coordinating within your team to out perform the opposition.
EXPAND YOUR SOCIAL CIRCLES
Building relationships with the people you play with is also important, thanking them for a good game, sharing a joke or just chatting about the game can help you to build a network of friendly players that will make your gaming experience more enjoyable.
Having the opportunity to interact with other student from across the school which you perhaps wouldn’t otherwise meet.
