National Careers Week 2025: Empowering Students for Their Futures

National Careers Week 2025 is the biggest celebration of careers across the UK, taking place during the week commencing 3rd March! This exciting initiative aims to empower students to make informed career decisions by providing resources, guidance, and insights into a wide range of professions.

What are we doing as a school?

We’ve lined up a week full of engaging activities to inspire our students and help them explore potential career paths. Students across all year groups will have the opportunity to attend a variety of assemblies and talks featuring special guest speakers from diverse industries:

  • Y11 Assembly: Reach Studios with Jonty Ward
  • Y7 Assembly: Children’s Capital of Culture
  • Y12:
    • Civil Service Psychology (P2) with Rhys Proud
    • UK Atomic Energy Authority with Jordan D’Arras
    • P1: Physics, Chemistry, Engineering
    • P2: Business, Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Politics
  • Y8 and Y9 Assembly: Energy Authority
  • Y10 Assembly: Waldeck Consulting with Nick Murdoch

Additionally, on Wednesday, we’ll be hosting a mini Careers Fair during lunchtime at the House Base, where students can meet with industry professionals and gather useful career-related information. Look out for Welcome Entrance signs and posters around school for more details!

Mrs Blackwell, Careers Lead, Said: “We’re thrilled to provide these opportunities for our students to explore a wide range of career options and gain valuable insights from experts in various fields. We hope National Careers Week will inspire students to think about their future career paths and make informed decisions”.
