AS + A-Level Results Day – Important Information
Results day is nearly upon us. Here is some helpful information to make sure your day goes as smoothly as possible!
Time and Date
You are invited to come to school at 9.00 am Thursday 15th August to collect your examination results from the Grand Hall.
UCAS
If you have applied to university, you should be able to access information from UCAS regarding whether you have been successful in securing a place at one of your choices from 8.00 am onwards.
Please read this carefully and ensure that it is the exact course required. Occasionally, students have assumed they are accepted at their chosen university when it has been the offer of a different course.
If you have received information from UCAS that you have NOT been accepted at university, or the course offered is not acceptable to you, then please collect results at 8.30 am.
You should not attend at this time if you are happy with the course offered.
Clearing
If you require assistance with Clearing then staff will be available. We encourage you to come prepared with research on alternative courses, UCAS log-in details and a fully charged mobile phone. If this causes any difficulty please make the Sixth-Form team aware beforehand so we can arrange a suitable alternative.
Collecting Your Results
On arrival at school, access will be via the Grand Hall from the external doors at the rear (between the Grand Hall and the New Hall) – this will be clearly signposted and you will collect your results in a personalised envelope from a desk in the Grand Hall.
If you would prefer to receive a copy of your results electronically via your school email, because you cannot collect them in person, then you need to email the exams team ([email protected]) to ask for this to be emailed to you. This will be done after 10.30 am on Results Day. Alternatively, if you wish someone else to collect results on your behalf on this day, you will need to provide a letter to this effect with the name of the person collecting the results to the examinations office beforehand or that person can arrive on the day with a letter authorising them to pick up the results on behalf of you – this letter must be signed by you.
We cannot give results via a telephone conversation.
If you have any questions about the collection of exam results please email [email protected].
If there are any questions about this process then please do not hesitate to make contact via [email protected].
Finally, on behalf of the whole Sixth-Form team, we would like to wish you every success in your examinations and an enjoyable summer holiday.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs N Lockyer Director of Sixth Form
