Wales High School Sponsored Walk raises over £36,000 for Future Wales

Wales High School’s annual Sponsored Walk has raised an incredible £36,547, including Gift Aid, smashing the original fundraising target of £25,000.

On Friday 16 October, students from across the school took part in the much-loved event, bringing the whole school community together to support the Future Wales project.

The school has been overwhelmed by the generosity of students, families, staff and local businesses, whose support has helped make this year’s walk such a success.

All funds raised will contribute towards the school’s £300,000 Future Wales fundraising target, helping to provide essential furniture, equipment and resources for the new school.

There is still time to donate, with the closing date set for Thursday 5 November. Each student has been given a unique sponsorship code, allowing donations to be tracked against individual year groups and tutor groups as part of a friendly fundraising competition.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help bring us one step closer to our goal.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Sponsored Walk and helped make a real difference to the future of Wales High School.
