What did you study at Wales Sixth Form?

I studied History, Sociology and Accounting. I achieved A, B, C.

Tell us about where you are working/studying now and about your role/university course:

I originally went to university to study law, but quickly found that university wasn’t for me. So I finished my first year, did some travelling and bagan to apply for legal apprenticeships. I am currently an Apprentice Paralegal (Level 3) at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors. My role consists of speaking to clients and establishing their claim. However, this role is constantly changing as I am always learning something new! My final goal once I qualify as a paralegal and have finished my 2-year apprenticeship is to move onto a level 7 apprenticeship (undergraduate degree level) and qualify as a solicitor.

How did studying at Wales help prepare you for this?

History at A-Level has really helped me throughout my legal career at university and also throughout my apprenticeship. Learning how to structure and analyse information and present it in a way that everyone understands is essential for my role.
