Tell us about where you are working/studying now and about your role/university course:
Matthew excelled in all three subjects; in particular Accountancy and Economics. He achieved an A at A-Level. He went on to study a BSc in economics at Loughborough University, achieving a 2:1 with honors. He then decided to further pursue his interest in Business and Finance by undertaking a MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management at Imperial College London, where he subsequently went on to graduate top of the class with Distinction. Having completed various internships and having achieved various full-time offers from the Banking and Consultancy industry, Matthew decided to accept a full-time position in Fixed Income Sales & Trading at Barclays Investment Bank. After 2 years at Barclays he was approached by Goldman Sachs to join their Fixed Income Sales & Trading team, with a particular focus on Asset-backed Securities. He is now the Executive Director – Structured Credit Sales and Trading at Goldman Sachs and enjoying the diversity and fast-paced environment of the financial markets.
