Art & Photography at Key Stage 4
Students progressing to Key Stage 4 are empowered with confidence and passion for Art and Photography. The learning experience for GCSE becomes personalised, as students choose a theme of interest and explore this through various materials, processes and techniques. Students are given regular, personalised feedback on how to improve and progress. The department also facilitates extra-curricular sessions at lunchtimes and after school master classes for students requiring extra support or wanting to refine a specific skill further beyond the classroom.
At Key Stage 4 students have the opportunity to take Photography with the opportunity to use industry standard equipment and software. Students become proficient in Adobe Photoshop to create digital still images as well as moving image. Students are guided through the creative process by the teacher and are equipped with the necessary learning and tools to achieve high quality outcomes.
