Art and Photography at Key Stage 5
Post 16 students are provided with the opportunity to study an A Level in Fine Art or Photography. Students have established creative confidence throughout their KS4 studies and KS5 provides the opportunity for students to develop their creative identity into a professional practice. The department facilitate a wide range of genres, materials and techniques to provide a bespoke teaching and learning experience for students. There is access to practical studios, additional to timetabled sessions, to promote self-resilience and management of students’ highly personal practical portfolios, experiencing the expectations needed to be a creative professional. Students engage with the marketing and exhibiting aspects of the industry through the participation of a final exhibition of work; equipping students with the necessary skills needed in the wider world.er world.
