Accounting is an exciting, dynamic and highly practical course that will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to investigate financial performance of a business and form key judgments and recommendations.
You can use it to access university; it is a well thought of A Level at all institutions. If you are thinking of a career in Accounting, then this A Level is a clear starting point. This A Level also allows you to access apprenticeships at Accountancy companies – particularly the higher apprenticeships. Employment directly from this course is outstanding, with many students securing high-end jobs at PWC, Hartshaw and John Harrison Accounting. Due to the nature of the course and the skill set students acquire, many employers contact us directly for possible candidates.
You can participate in visits to various Finance Departments and will visit the Jaguar production plant at Castle Bromwich to look at financial aspects of producing a fleet of cars. Successful past students visit to support and offer advice throughout the programme, giving an insightful view into an accounting career. Upper Sixth students will get the opportunity to mentor Lower Sixth students. All students will be offered extra support to ensure all learning and progress is consolidated.
