I am a Civil Servant having recently joined the Department for Education although I have a varied background in the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement prior to this; throughout my career so far, I have seen first-hand how schools and education positively impact communities and the lives of children.
Having grown up in the community served by Wales High School and attending the school between 2002 and 2009, I wanted to become a Governor at Wales to help support the great contribution the school makes to the community and personally give back to the school where I spent my years in education.
Additionally, through my role as a Governor, the invaluable insight into the day to day operations of the school will help me make a positive impact more broadly on education policy and the education system through my professional career.
