Planned Roadworks to Cause Potential Disruption to School Travel
Yorkshire Water is set to begin a major infrastructure project in Kiveton Park and Wales, involving the replacement of 6km of clean water pipes over the next 10 to 12 months.
As part of this project, the first phase of work will commence on Monday 14 July, focusing on a 100-metre stretch of Wales Road, from the junction of Church Street to just before Lodge Hill Drive. This section is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete and will involve the use of temporary traffic lights throughout the works.
The school has been informed of the potential impact on travel, and school transport providers have been notified.
Parents and carers who drop off their children are advised to allow extra travel time during this period. It is essential that students arrive on time to enter via the Welcome Entrance and be in class ready for the start of Period 1 at 8:25am.
Any updates to school transport or travel arrangements will be communicated via MCAS, and parents are encouraged to check the school website and social media channels regularly for the latest information.
We thank all families for their cooperation and understanding during this period of disruption.
