Business Studies (Level 3)

This course is offered as a two year course. OCR Level 3 Business Studies is a prestigious, exciting, challenging and ‘real’ course that allows you to apply your understanding of business in a variety of ways: posters, reports, diagrams, role-play and organising and managing events.  It brings the business world to life.  You will visit many organisations to clarify your understanding of business; allowing you to apply ‘real’ examples to your work, ensuring you have every opportunity to meet your full potential.  Students can opt to take the Single Award (Extended Certificate/1 A Level) or Double Award (Diploma/ 2 A Levels).

This can lead to a career in the business world, giving you an underpinning knowledge of how the business you work for functions. Students have been highly successful at acquiring apprenticeships/employment directly from the course, it is a well sought after qualification by employers as it fully prepares you for the world of work. In addition to this – the course has the same UCAS points as A Levels so therefore gives you the same opportunities to access university courses.

Benefit from our links with local and national organisations including; advertising agencies and visits to 1-Click Print, Marks & Spencer, Meadowhall and the Jaguar Production Plant.  All students will be offered extra support and guidance to ensure all learning and progress is consolidated.

• Unit 13: Management Accounting (coursework)

The Examination Board for this course is OCR.
This qualification is a mixture of externally assessed examinations and internally set coursework.
