Work Begins on the New Astroturf Pitch at Wales High School

We’re delighted to announce that construction work for the 3G Astroturf pitch is now underway!

Contractors arrived on site last week and have now started the civil works on the front playing field where the new 3G pitch will be located. The facility will feature a full-sized LED floodlit 3G pitch, car parking, and incorporate existing changing facilities.

Supporting Our Local Community

The 3G project has been made possible with capital funding and investment from The Football Foundation. It will also be home to our community partner,  Kiveton Park Football Club, as well as local teams and clubs who will be able to access and hire the facility all year round.

Pepe Di’lasio, Headteacher, said:  “The new sports facility will be key in supporting the students at Wales High School, as well as grassroots sports in the local community and beyond. Working in partnership with Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA and other football partners, we aim to maximise the use of the facilities at the School and enable more people across our community to enjoy the benefits of playing regular sport”.
