Wales High Sweeps National Film Festival

kids2Budding student film makers from Wales High School are revelling in success following a hat-trick of wins at a national film festival.

The school won three of the top awards at the recent Kids for Kids Film Festival in London.

The annual Kids Film Festival film competition took place at the BFI Southbank with children and young people travelling from all over the country to attend screenings in the 6-12 years and 13-19 age categories.

Sixth form Media Studies student Andrew Senior won Best Film voted by the Youth Jury in the 13-19 age category for his film You Have Reached Your Destination. The film is about a talking SatNav that becomes infatuated with it’s owner.

And Wales High School’s Film and Animation club won the Grand Jury Prize in the 6-12 age class for their film The Test, a fast moving caper about a bunch of students who go to extraordinary lengths to cheat in their maths test.
