Success for School Filmmakers

filmmakersWales High School’s budding filmmakers enjoyed great success at this year’s British International Amateur Film Festival.

BIAFF showcases films made by amateur filmmakers from throughout the world.

Students from the school attended a special young person’s screening on Saturday April 20th. Out of the twenty films that screened, seven had been made by students from Wales High School.

filmmakers2Two of these films picked up the two top awards in the Under 16 categories. Eleanor Smith and Abigail Harris won Best Under 16 Film in the Special Young Person’s Competition for their film, War of Words.

And the Film and Animation Club won Best Under 16 Film in the Main Competition for their film, The Test.

Both films have been picked up by the BIAFF and will now compete at an International level against films from other countries.
