Modern Foreign Languages

Curriculum, vision and aims.

It is our intention here at Wales to ensure that all students are prepared for life by fulfilling their potential in studying a language and acquiring a range of communication skills which are valuable well beyond the classroom.

We consider the ability to communicate in another language a fantastic asset and a skill for life, as language learners are great lateral thinkers, observant and clear communicators, resilient learners and have good creativity and intuition.

We believe in widening students horizons and equipping them with transferable communication skills, instilling them with a love of travel and culture and developing a passion for life.

We believe that all Wales students have the ability to succeed in languages no matter their previous experience or ability level and are entitled to the best support that our team can offer.

Our team of 8 fully-qualified teachers all specialise in either French or Spanish, or both.  We have a broad range of experience including; native speakers and staff with special areas of interest in SEND, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Diversity and Inclusion and International partnerships.
