Guide Dogs provide staff and pupil wellbeing

On 6th December all students and staff had the opportunity to meet a group of guide dogs as part of Georgia Crowther’s (Y13) Extended Project Qualification. Georgia is researching the positive impact spending time stroking and relaxing with dogs can have on well-being and mental health.

Students were asked to complete questionnaires after they had spent time with the dogs to find out if it had helped to reduce stress levels and anxiety. The event proved to be a great success as students and raised £450 for the guide dogs charity. Hopefully the guide dogs will be back soon!
