Geography – KS5

Geography at Key Stage 5

At Key Stage 5, pupils develop into independent and socially conscious adults. They understand the physical and human interactions in the world around them and know how physical processes and human society operate. A Level Geography builds upon the skills previously learned, going into greater depth with mathematical, graphical, literacy and cartographic skills, and equips pupils to create their own independent fieldwork project.

All A Level pupils will be taught by two subject specialists, which allows them the opportunity to learn about both physical and human geography at a level which provides an entry point into higher education.

Our geographers follow the AQA syllabus at A Level, which maintains consistency following on from GCSE, and matches the specialisms of the teaching staff in the department.
