Geography at Key Stage 4
Our curriculum at Key Stage 4 builds upon the knowledge and skills learned at Key Stage 3. It provides the opportunity for pupils to understand more about the world, the challenges faced by the people within it and how the pupils fit in this wider context. Geography enables pupils to become more environmentally and socially informed and helps them progress into thoughtful and enquiring global citizens.
Pupils will be given the opportunity to succeed at all levels. Geography is a fantastic subject for developing a pupil’s confidence in a range of skills, which will help them move into further education or the workplace. This includes fieldwork, cartographic, statistical, graphical and literacy skills.
Pupils follow the AQA syllabus at GCSE, which has been selected because of the expertise and experience within the department in delivering the topics contained within.
