Vocational Academy

The Wales High School Vocational Academy was formally opened on Tuesday 12th May 2009 by Rotherham MBC’s Leader, Councillor Roger Stone. He was accompanied by a number of local dignitaries, including Mike Cuff, Chief Executive of RMBC; Catharine Kinsella, Strategic Leader for School Improvement and Lynne Newby, Building Manager, Environment and Development Services.

The very impressive centre is situated at Vector 31, Mansfield Road, Wales Bar where a team of skilled teachers with vast experience and qualifications have been appointed by the school to deliver NVQ award-bearing courses.

We currently offer courses in Construction, Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Engineering and Hairdressing.

This vocational curriculum is not only relevant and challenging; it is producing the workforce of the future!
